Worth The Wait

“The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return,” Moulin
Rouge. That is the desire that every living being yearns deep down in their hearts.
Having the security of being our true authentic self in front of the one that we pour
our all to, and finding out that our lover sees our goofiness as charming and
adorable. These are the secret ingredients to a long lasting, trusting, full of respect
relationship.

But this kind of love is hard to find. It’s rare. And sometimes it has to wait.

Alfred knew he loved Florencia, but the timing was not right. So he waited patiently.
He prayed. And he looked from a distance, hoping that she would catch a glimpse of
her and make her feel the same way when his time comes. Cause he wants to let her
know that she deserves all the love and more.

Prayers may take time. Sometimes we may feel like no one is listening. Or we might
even feel like we’ve hit a wall, but we must press on and pray until something
happens. After a few months of praying for the right timing, his time finally came.
Alfred made a move and the rest is pretty much history.

Alfred knew how to love Florencia the way she’s always wanted to be loved. He
embraces he and allows her to be her authentic self, flaws and all. He accepts and
adore her like no one else does. He makes her feel comfortable. He makes her feel
home.

When Florencia was asked how she knew Alfred was the one, she replied, “Alfred’s
different. I’ve never been this happy. Genuinely happy. The kind of happy I’ve never
felt before in my previous relationships. He never makes me feel like a weirdo.
Instead of laughing at me, he would laugh with me and make it all ten times better.
He brings out the best in me like no one else does.”

And Florencia was Alfred’s first ever girlfriend. We love our first love the hardest,
the one that leaves the biggest mark in our lives. How sweet is it that his first love is
going to be his forever love?

I guess it is safe to say that true love is worth the wait. Sometimes we might have to
go through a not so good experience to appreciate true love when it finally comes.
Sometimes we have to pray fervently and wait on the right timing to win our love.
But no matter what, true love is worth the wait.
