When we were children we indulged with many love and fairytale stories. These stories are commonly about beautiful things where the world is filled with colors, where every season from spring to winter is stunning and gorgeous, where the day light is beautiful and glowing, where the sky of every night is decorated with sparkling stars, and of course one that is never forgotten in every fairy tale, where every love will end up with a happily ever after.

It’s difficult to imagine a perfect world like that in real world, and sometimes we need to face the truth where that perfect world only exists in our imagination. That is why some called it Neverland. Shortly, I almost believed in the Neverland, but when I meet Sunarto and Steffy I changed my mind.

Steffy first contacted us last year and when we met, somewhere in the middle of our conversation, she told us about the plan for her wedding. Like every other bride-to-be, she wanted her wedding to be beautiful and memorable. Of course, this is every girl’s dream. If we talk about a beautiful wedding, most of us think about a beautiful decoration, a lavish flower arrangement, a grand musical arrangement, and so many other things that can always make the wedding more beautiful. But, the beautiful and memorable wedding for Sunarto & Steffy is different. They said all the wedding props are set, the dress, the venue, the decoration, the flowers, the entertainment, all of them. All was ready. But this is what grabbed my attention, when they said, they wanted their picture to be captured with full of intimacy, and speaks of love in every single frame. It made me wondering, but very excited in the same time, how would this wedding be. 

When the wedding day finally came. I must say their wedding is one of the most beautiful weddings that I’ve ever attended. Her dress is flawlessly beautiful, the make up is perfect, the table setting cannot be more elegant with all the chandeliers set beautifully on every table, the flowers, the colors, the dance floor, the song for their first dance, everything was simply perfect. And then I start capturing each and every moment unfolded before my eyes that day. And when I reviewed the pictures, I realized something, the feeling that they showed that day is so honest that it was even stronger than every beautiful detail of their wedding that day. 

Their gesture was so in harmony with the magical ambience of their wedding. The smiles, the laughter, how they hold each other’s hand, the hugs, and the kisses was so genuine and honestly it made their request for their wedding picture as easy as clapping hands. Their pictures show intimacy and speak of love in each and every single frame.

One thing for sure, I have witnessed how love works, and I’ve seen it so many times how love can suddenly transform things to be way more beautiful, but this one was different. I felt the wedding was not just beautiful but also magical. It reminded me of the fairytale world, the Neverland that I mentioned above.

Until the wedding was over I didn’t get the answer of why their wedding was so intense and so full with intimacy. But I know, it needed more than just Sunarto & Steffy’s love to make a wedding so magical like that. 

3 days after the wedding, Steffy texted me and thanked me for her beautiful wedding pictures. But then she asked me, did I take the picture about her wedding brooch bouquet that night. Of course I did, how could I miss the beautiful brooch bouquet that sparkled in her hands that night. But than I asked her why this bouquet is so special. She replied, her very closest friends, each of them sent her a beautiful brooch, each of their own favorite colors and shapes, and then they are all arranged into one beautiful bouquet that she held that night. 

Then I know, why the emotion and the intimacy of their wedding that day was so deep. More than all the things, which of course can make a wedding beautiful, Sunarto and Steffy place these very personal things in their wedding. And that’s why they wanted their picture to be intimate and speaks love. It is because they put a lot of intimacy and love from the people they love to their wedding. That Brooch bouquet is just an example, and although they didn’t tell us all, I believe that there are even more personal touches from them and their loved ones on their wedding. And the loves, the prayers, and the blessings from them, transforms the magical fairytale world, the Neverland, into the Ourland.
