When I Think Of Home
There is nothing more liberating than being able to freely display your authentic self to the person you love. And still being embraced and adored. That's why Agnes loves Wandi.
Wandi and Agnes started their interaction when they and a few friends took a holiday trip to Thailand. This trip was special because it paralyzed with Wandi’s birthday. Bangkok was the city that Wandi shared his first birthday together with Agnes. Little that they know it was a first among many to come. During that trip, they realized they share one major common interest: food!
A wise man once said, “The way to a (wo)man is through the stomach.” That statement could not be truer. After the Thailand trip was over, Wandi took Agnes out on their first date to a buffet restaurant. Their chemistry builds as their taste buds awaken throughout the meal. One of the topics that shook them was the fact that they have never met in Melbourne even though shared the same zip code. Not only that, they were practically neighbors, as they lived in the same apartment building. They also shared the same hair stylist. It was as if Father Time acted as an Executive Chef to a restaurant. And He decided that the broth needed to cook longer. So it would be perfect and rich when the right moment comes.
Father Time was right. When Wandi finally dated Agnes, it was the perfectly decadent taste not only in the mouth, but also in the heart. It only took them six months to decide to marry each other. Wandi and Agnes are perfect for each other. When the pressure of planning the perfect wedding got the best of Agnes, Wandi was always there to calm her down. He reminded them of the home that they have found in each other’s soul. The home that they would build together after the wedding is said and done. And that reminder always puts a smile in her face. It is safe to say that they bring out the best in each other.
Home is not a place. Home is a person. Home loves the lover in the best way. Home does not see flaws as weaknesses. It sees flaws as the magnet that pulls them closer. It embraces interests and encourages dreams and turns them into reality. Home has a heartbeat. It beats the loudest when Wandi stands next to Agnes.
