“When I am Marrying My Best Friend”

Have you ever heard of being just friends? Or maybe the most dreadful thing that a guy can hear is that they are “friendzoned”? Yes these terms can be terrifying to hear or even be entrusted upon. After all, what is worse than being only friends with the girl you love and cherish! Fortunately for Candy, he managed to pass that boundary of being just best friends with Luna.

Both Candy and Luna have known each other for over 11 years, and through the most unconventional circumstances; through playing DOTA. It was from then that they started their friendship, something that most youths go through in their lives. But like all romantic stories go, they were JUST friends. They kept their friend distance and in no way whatsoever displayed any sense of attraction for each other…although they knew that there was this small spark between them that could ignite into a firework…one day at least. It was not until a fortunate moment again one and a half years ago that Candy finally decided that being just friends was not enough. He knew that they were more than that; they have become close friends by then but 10 years was definitely long enough to realize that they were meant for each other. He chatted up Luna and there was no stopping them from there. The moment that tiny spark from when they were friends finally erupted into a firework full of love.

Maybe that long period of time being just friends was a miracle in disguise. Both Candy and Luna not just felt closer to each other, but their love bloomed faster because they knew each other so well already. Simply said, they leveled up! So when they had their photo shoot with the Kairos team, there was barely any awkwardness or shyness between them. They felt so comfortable in each other’s arm. Luna knows that she can trust her best friend to make her look beautiful in front of the camera, and that’s what Candy did. Actually, they complemented each other so well and made memorable moments together with us. 

There was a moment though that really showed how romantic Candy was – and that was the surprise proposal that was executed perfectly in Turkey. So perhaps their friendship is not just like any friendship that we see. But most importantly for both Candy and Luna, they can safely and happily say that they are marrying their best friend.
