“When God Is Pleased In Your Relationship”

How often do we feel that God is always testing us? Always giving us a challenge to prove that our love can beat all odds? It’s common and not many are able to break through that challenge that God has given us as a couple. Thankfully for Sundoro and Rini, each new surprise that God gives, is an opportunity to make their love stronger. 

Sundoro and Rini’s love story is quite similar to a lot of other people. Introduced by a mutual friend and hoping the best after a dinner night out. No cupid arrow during that night, but a tiny bit of spark was definitely lit between the two. It took several months of constant trying to figure each other out before they finally started to click. It was also by God’s grace that there were signs of them being meant for each other; well at least according to Rini – she was definitely sure that God sent her a dream that Sundoro was the one for her! 

But when we think that the going gets tough; God always manages to give a surprise. During their wedding preparation, the pandemic hit. It was not a good time for everyone; but for Sundoro and Rini – it was perhaps the biggest blessing in disguise. Despite the pandemic spreading and causing fear amongst others all around; they were thankful to God that they managed to finish their pre-wedding session in Korea in April 2019. Imagine if they had planned their pre wedding session this year instead – all of their plan would have gone haywire. But God kept on teasing their love by giving them obstacles here and there. But maybe there was a silver lining to it all to why God chose to show his love for them this way. They were afraid that their family members did not want to travel to Jakarta for their wedding due to the the outrageous social distancing protocol enforced; but they were fortunate that their family went the extra mile and still came – showing how much their bigger family actually cared about them as a couple. When Sundoro's father had to go to the hospital for a surgery so close to their wedding date; they prayed, and God answered with a miracle as he was up and ready during the big day. The power of prayer and their unwavering faith allowed them to overcome the test of their relationship and love. A moment of triumph for them as a couple. What was supposed to be a challenge from God, they embraced it with open arms and made it their own. 

The one that both Sundoro and Rini kept on laughing about during this tough time though was that they were fortunate to have decided to reschedule their wedding to October this year in Bali (even more fortunately they decided this before the pandemic hit!) instead of the supposed planned day in March; because imagine having no one attending their wedding because of the lockdown that occured!

These kinds of moments are valuable and memorably “gemes” at times. But thats what makes love stronger – sacrifice, perseverance and making sure that despite these troubled times that they are there for each other. And God definitely gave Sundoro and Rini his blessings as the couple grew in love every single day.
