Ton,
My favorite thing about when we met was how easy it was to talk to you. It felt as though I had known you my whole life.
We knew so many people in common and I couldn't believe we just met now. But I'm so thankful we did.
Ton, you are an incredible man. You always encourage me to move out of my comfort zone and explore new opportunities. You make me better.
I promise that no matter what comes ahead I will remember who you are. I will remember that you are a son of a king. That God created you and loves you first. That God sent his son to die for you that you are precious to Him. And that God has given me the honor and privilege of being able to be by your side and do life with you. I love you and I trust you. I have always had anxiety about the future and the unknown, but with you, I am not worried because I know I have a partner. And we can look to the future without fear. What will come, will come and we will meet it when it does. Together.

Melissa,
Thank you. I'm so blessed to have met you.
From the time we first met, almost every meaningful experience I can remember of us involves growth in some way, shape, or form. Whether it was through CrossFit, sharing new experiences, or learning new perspectives, it showed me that we have the ability to grow well together.
At work, both of our roles require us to communicate with sometimes difficult patients or difficult students. This showed me that we have the ability to grow well together even when we find one another... Difficult.
Our foundation in our faith reminds us that God remains as our ultimate source of fulfillment. So as we grow well together, even through difficult times, we're rooted in a joy that comes from God and a promise that we make to one another. On those two things, I will protect this marriage with my life.
you are the strongest woman I know. your sense of integrity is equally matched by your understanding of nuance, and your willingness to stand for and fight for what is right is what draws me to you.
There's a bible verse that tells us to be salt to the people around us. I know it's not the most romantic analogy but that's what you are to me. You bring flavor to my life. You wear mismatched socks, you wiggle around while playing video games, and you say weird things like snickerdoodle all the time. The verse also tells us to be light to the people around us. You light up parts about me that sometimes I'm not so proud of, but it's never in a shaming way, and I always end up wanting to be a better version of myself.
In you, I've found the most amazing partner to live my life with. I promise to love you and serve you for the rest of my life.
