It’s been a while since the last time I wrote my last blog. I've been so busy doing a couple of things, which sometimes ends you up with no time for doing a few of your favorite things. But anyway, as I am writing this, I am waiting for my flight from Perth to Sydney. These past 3 days was so amazing, because I had the chance to meet an amazing couple here in Perth and take their engagement session here.

Edward & Crystal, like most of our clients, are so nice, friendly, full of excitement and super in love. But one thing that caught my attention is a story that they’ve shared to me about how they first met. I know it’s a cliché but their story is interesting. So, they met each other few years ago since they started being in the same church community, but only started dating like 2 years ago. Edward used to work near Crystal’s office in the city. So most of their dates were during their lunch breaks. Edward would buy a doughnut for Crystal and they would talk about a lot of things during that limited time. When we hear a story like this, the first question that comes into our mind may be, “Why doughnut? You can take her to some nice restaurant to have a proper lunch there!”

But Edward had his own thought. Everyday Crystal would always bring a lunch box to the office. So during her lunch break, she would always have her lunch box. Edward noticed that, but he realized there was something that Crystal never brought along with her in her lunch box. A Dessert. That was why he would always buy her a doughnut with a sweet toping on it to complete Crystal's lunch. I think this kind of attention is sweeter than him treating her to a nice restaurant during their limited lunch break. And every time Edward gave her a doughnut, she would break it into two and gave him one of the halves so they could share it together.

I think it's sweet. I mean, since the beginning of their relationship, the little things that Edward does wins her heart, and as we can see, he's been on her mind constantly, sharing everything that she has, making their bond even stronger. Sometimes, it is not always about the big things, but the small things that matter more. But of course, their date wasn't always during lunch breaks with a doughnut split between each other, there was a time when Edward took Crystal to a nice restaurant or café which Crystal said was “The Proper Date."

Cheers,
