The Key

Like a colorful field of flowers that never sees the gloom of rain, that’s how we would describe Melissa’s bubbly and warm personality. Nothing seems to faze her, like she would always find light in all circumstance. Like that one time when her friends told the story when Melissa didn't got to work because a dog bit her leg. When the wound healed and she finally came back to work, Melissa didn't describe the accident grumpily. On the contrary, she giggled charmingly as if her leg didn't hurt and nothing ever happened. They say smile is the key that unlocks everyone’s heart, we are certain that Melissa’s smile is the key that unlocks Yohei’s heart.

Melissa is a hardcore admirer of Japan, ever since she was a young girl; she was always truly, madly, deeply in love with Japan. Japan is where her lips smile the widest. Though her father has a thriving career in Germany and had requested Melissa to pursue her studies there, Melissa declined his offer to pursue her studies where her soul was the happiest: Japan. She couldn't picture being in anywhere else but Japan.

After finishing her studies, she then started working as a teacher in Japan. Melissa’s courage to be so lost in love with Japan allowed her to be found by a Japanese man that would make all her dreams come true, Yohei. Though they were working at two different companies, the stars were crossed and their fate aligned at the right moment, at the right time. Yohei is a man who is a man of few words, chill, relax, calm. But he always tries his best to make her wishes come true. Like that time when he struggled to deliver his wedding vow in Indonesian language at their wedding in Jakarta. It was challenging, but he held it together because he wanted to make Melissa the proudest bride ever.

People say opposites attract. And we couldn't agree more. The contrast between Yohei and Melissa’s personalities compliments their strength and weaknesses perfectly. Melissa’s sunshine after the rain attitude gives Yohei comfort that there’s nothing they can’t do together. Everything will work out in the end as long as her smile is the first thing he sees every single morning he wakes up, and the last thing he sees before he goes to bed. Melissa’s smile is the key that fits Yohae’s locked heart.
