Ten Is At The Tennis Court

People in love often say, “You complete me,” to the couple. That may sound true. But I beg to differ. I say, solid love happens when two completely whole individuals meet at the right place, at the right time. One does not seek approval or happiness from the other person. Rather each will seek ways to make the other happy and despises the things that sadden the other. Completely content with themselves, therefore they can love the other perfectly.

That is how I see Nicho and Nerissa. They accepted themselves completely; therefore they are able to love the other perfectly.

While social media is handy when it comes to research and finding inspiration, it could also be a distraction to who we really are. Nicho and Nerissa seem to be immune from the unnecessary pressure that social media tend to do the couples planning for their wedding day. They are not driven by the amount of likes or dislikes; or bothered by the comments netizen often uninvitedly say. They knew who they are, so they didn't feel the need to succumb to the standards of social media.

Nicho and Nerissa are tennis lovers by nature. And so they did just that. They didn't even mention any desire to have some sort of glitz and glam in their picture. They could care less about what’s expected. So to Bali they flew. Guess where they had their pre-wedding photo shoot session? Yup! You guessed it! How did the pictures turn out? AMAZEBALLS! TEN is the score I would give to their pre-wedding pictures. TEN TEN TEN across the board! Was it glamorous? Absolutely! Why was it glamorous? Because they remained true to who they are. And that in it self is more glamorous than any amount of glitter can bring. And I’m glad that Niko and Nerissa agree with me on that.

“Oh Wow! So amazing!” was their reaction to the pre-wedding pictures. Unending was their thank-yous to us. But it’s us who need to thank Nicho and Nerissa for the teaching us the importance of self-acceptance, self-embrace, self-appreciation, being a whole individual therefore liberating both lovers to love freely and unconditionally. Not to forget how effortlessly they brought glitz and glam to their own pictures simply by unapologetically being themselves, doing what they like, with whom they like the most in this whole wide world.
