Rainbow always comes after the rain. It’s a classic quote telling us after struggle comes victory. Sometimes we need to go through so many obstacles to finally reach what we really want. We are just human beings, we have limits, but there is one thing that can surely push the best of us out - we call it love. I thought fairytales were just stories before bed, but after hearing so many love stories from our lovebirds, I realised that fairytales are alive - with different characters, locations, plots, but it always has a happy ending (or can I say, beginning). Every chapter is so colourful, filled with ups and downs, till finally they live happily ever after.
One of my favourite stories is from Tadeus and Audrey. Both of them are very kind, smart, and lovable. Tadeus met Audrey at church, and by the first time Tad saw her, he decided that Audrey would be his future wife. But that idea was only on Tad’s mind. What about Audrey? For her, Tad was a nerd annoying guy that she needed to get rid off as soon as possible!
The team and I, with Tad and Audrey, were eating at a dimsum restaurant. All of us were so mesmerised by their story. Tad and Audrey told the whole story about their love journey. I couldn’t remember all the very details but one thing I will remember forever is: Tad has been woking so hard till Audrey said I do.
One day, Audrey went to Israel with some of church member for a spiritual trip, of course without Tad. Still, Audrey didn’t give the green signal to Tad because he was too aggressive for her. Tad chatted Audrey about so many things everyday, like was she okay, how was the flight, and so on. Audrey only replied back when she was in a good mood, with short answers, plus so many ignored texts. But Tad stuck with his vision. In the middle of the vacation, one friend gave Audrey a box full of chocolates without giving any credit to anyone. Audrey was surprised, yet confused - and little bit scared - who was that weird person giving chocolates in the middle of a spiritual trip??? She was not too happy since she didn’t know the sender. So Audrey gave away the chocolate to everyone in the bus. I guess you know who the sender was, right? :)
When she came back to Jakarta, Tad asked about the chocolate and in that moment Audrey felt something warm in her heart. She thanked Tad for the gift while faking stories about the taste. The warm feelings didn't stop there, she finally understood it was love. Slowly but surely, love grew in her heart. Audrey knew that Tad had never failed to surprise her, and is willing to do everything for her sincerely. At that moment, Audrey found her mister right.
I cannot say any words when Tad and Audrey told us that fairytale. Tad admitted that pursuing Audrey was the hardest thing he has ever done. That is so cute! They are so lovable. Their story really inspires me and I will never forget the way they looked into each others' eyes.
Love is not a magical thing that comes in a sudden, it’s a verb, continued by prayers and lots of works :)
