Shiawase na Rabu Sutori
Once upon a time there was a young girl from Indonesia named Lina. She dreamed of marrying a prince charming different than any other: Hakuba no Ouji-sama. Hai! A handsome prince from Japan was what she wrote on her diary.
After finishing her studies in the U.S., she applied to Japan’s most prestigious university: Todai. And she did it! Her hard work has come to fruition, she thought. But God had a different plan for her. One week prior to starting her quest for finding her Hakuba no Ouji-sama, the devastating Tsunami hit Japan. The unfortunate catastrophe shook Lina’s parents to the core, which results in discouraging her from pursuing her dreams in Japan. With a heavy heart she obeyed her parents’ request. But her acceptance to Todai University did not expire until the following year for if she were to continue on commencing her education in Japan.
In the mean time, being the scholarly girl she is, she chose to learn the art Chinese linguistic in Shanghai. Little did she know, her fairy tale was about to begin. Love happens suddenly like a Tsunami. Koki Kobayashi entered, ready to steal Lina’s heart. Their Shiawase na Rabu Sutori has officially begun. A beautiful love story filled with endless happiness.
Koki was worth the wait. He is all that Lina ever wanted and more. Together they finished their studies in Shanghai and moved back to Indonesia.
A few years went by and they have decided to take their relationship to the next level and become husband and wife. They mutually agreed to only do a formal family proposal where Koki’s family will visit Indonesia. However Koki knows Lina deserves to be treated like the princess that she is. At their pre-wedding photo session in Japan, Koki orchestrated a fairy tale scene of his own. In front of the statuesque and bright lights of Tokyo tower, on one knee, Koki proposed to Lina and made her childhood dream come to a full circle. With tears rolling down her rosy cheeks, she accepted his proposal with a definite HAI!
Every Shiawase na Rabu Sutori may have different beginnings. The swerves and detours that life tosses at us are all part of the details that make a fairy tale worth telling for generations to come. Just like what Cinderella said, “Have faith in your dreams and someday your rainbow will come smiling through. No matter how your heart is grieving. If you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true.”
