Pour Tous Jours

For all days, for always. It’s a prayer that every bride and groom whisper to each other on their wedding day. Through all the good, bad and indifferent, their promise stands for all days, for always. Martin and Eugenia’s relationship is filled with happy coincidence. It was so impossible to make happen, it must have been God planning it all along. Martin and Eugenia’s romance officially began on March 9th 2014. After four years of being together Martin proposed and the wedding planning commence. When their parents got together to choose the blessed wedding date, guess which date they picked? March 9th 2019! The parents were oblivious to Martin and Eugenia’s anniversary date, but stars were crossed, and the date was chosen.

Speaking of anniversaries, Martin initially wanted to ask Eugenia on a different date. But, after the group dinner they had, Eugenia blurted out her gratefulness for the comfort that she feels in Martin’s company. She was so relieved to have such an understanding friend as him. This conversation led Martin to believe that Eugenia had put him in the friend zone. And so the push and pull between the two continued.

Martin would take Eugenia on romantic mountain hike just the two of them. The next time he would pick her up at dawn to see the sunrise. He would recommend great non-fiction books for Eugenia to read. Because he knows Eugenia is an avid reader. I can bet all my bottom dollars that Martin would cross the sea just to get himself out of the friend zone that he thought he was in. Finally, the friend zone walls came down on March 9th 2014 when they finally had a calm heart to heart conversation that they should be together.

And now here they are, only a few months away from their wedding day on March 9th 2019. When choosing their wedding ring, they chose a set of rings that have been with them since 2015. Like a lot of couples, circumstances force them to be apart. In 2015, they had to let distance rule their relationship. But, Martin bought a set of rings remind them of their bond. No matter what; for all days; for always. Whether together or separated by time and place, they will always have a piece of each other. These rings will continue to be a token of their love. This time they added a very significant date to be engraved on the inner part of the rings: March 9th 2019.
