Peterman

“Why on earth would I be Spiderman, Batman or Superman, if I cant be your man,” is one of the seemingly silly but meaningful quotes that Peter proclaimed to Resy. I can’t seem to wipe the smile off my face as I browse through their pictures. I could hear the joyfulness of their laughter through the stillness of pictures. It’s as if they have the ability to make light of every moment that they’re in: the good, the bad, and the in-between. No sky is too high; no ocean is too mysterious as long as they’re together through it all.

Even when life and time limit them from celebrating an occasion, they will make sure to find a moment or something to make up for what they have missed. Because they know each other so damn well and will continue to search for the desires of each other’s hearts and fulfill them. As they journey on this thing called life, Peter promised to, “live my life and love my wife” always and forever. When the sun and moon fail to shine their day and night, in each other they will find their everlasting light. Forever will he be Resy’s Peterman!

To capture Peter and Resy’s playful nature, we figured: “why not use actual jigsaw puzzles as the front and back cover of their Love Book??!!!” We decided to print illustrations of them onto acrylic boards as the base of the puzzle, laser cut them into puzzle pieces; then have another solid layer of acrylic board to protect each cover. That way, they can play with the puzzle again when they get bored, or whenever they need a reminder of how much they love each other. When the ocean of life puts boundaries between them, we hope that this Lovebook will remind them to fight the waves til they arrive in each other’s arms.
