It Takes Two to Poco-Poco

Vega and Michelle’s wedding is definitely one of the most memorable event for us to be apart of. We remember leaving the venue of the wedding on such a high, and it definitely was not because of drinking. It was because the atmosphere of love and tremendous fun was definitely so thick everybody could almost taste it. Their wedding is the ultimate definition of wedding goals.

It started out as what seemed like a typical massive Indonesian wedding at a spacious grand ballroom. But from the dawn of preparation to their party was far from ordinary. It had them written all over it. Their desperation for God was plain to see. Matthew 6:33, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well,” perfectly sums up their whole hearted devotion to God. Moments of prayers with their loved ones were definitely not a rare sight that night.

We know that God sent His army of angels to  sprinkle magic dust upon their wedding when we witnessed their reception. Their grand entrance as husband and wife had us shook! It was definitely one of the most festive and well coordinated entrance we have ever experienced. There must have been at least thirty to forty people participating in the most epic flash mob ever for their entrance. They danced to four to five songs that lasted for approximately twenty minutes. This flash mob had all the fifteen hundred guests groovin’ and swayin’ right from the get go. It continued with the warmest father-daughter dance, that had everyone in the room misty.

But that legendary flash mob was definitely not the only affair that had us shaken. Their after party got us doing our one-two-step while on the job. The two hour plus bash was attended by nearly half of the entire wedding guests of roughly fifteen hundred people. When Maumere  and Poco-poco were blasted in the speaker, it was ON!!! Male, female, young or mature, shoes or no shoes; there was no restriction to shaking your tail feathers on the dance floor. Everybody was carefree in celebrating Vega and Michelle’s ten years of love and many more years to come.

Thank you, Vega and Michelle for demonstrating to us the importance of putting God in the center of everything, staying true to who we are, and most importantly to have A LOT OF FUN! When we grow up, we want to be like Vega and Michelle!
