Indescribable

“There’s just something in the way Kelvin looked at me on our wedding day,” Wenny told me. No words can describe what it was, but she felt it.

That affair happened in the morning when Kelvin presented a bouquet of flowers to Wenny. It was their first meeting on the special day. The rendezvous happened for a split second but the memory in Wenny’s heart will last forever. 

A wedding is a series of small events that create one eventful day. The bouquet moment perfectly started the day on a high note.

To strangers, Kelvin is a cool quiet man. He only shows his true colors to his closest circle of confidants. When a relationship is built, Kelvin will slowly show his humorous and easygoing side. Even then, conveying his gratitude with words is not his strong suit. That’s what makes the Holy Matrimony such a tender moment not only for Kelvin, but also for the entire family.

Saying gratitude is not about reciting a whole page of nicely composed essay to your loved ones. Perfection is not necessary. What makes an appreciation effective is a genuine heart. Though we may struggle through tears and words are hard to understand. But emotions will transcend through and communicate what words fail to say. And Kelvin did just that. It was short and sweet, but nonetheless heart felt and perfect. Wenny described that moment as a tender moment that she holds dear in her heart.

As they embark on this journey of marriage. A love letter was written from Wenny to Kelvin:

“Looking back at our journey, I realized that God knew what He was doing when He gave you to be my husband. I am a nervous wreck. My anxiety often gets the best of me. But you have taught me and been there for me at my weakest moments. You are the anchor that grounds me when I am shaken. And for that I am grateful.

In life, challenges are hard and many to overcome. It may not be an easy breezy ride, and I’m far from being the perfect wife. I cannot promise you anything, but to be a fervent and faithful pillar of prayers to our family. When things get rough, I promise to always look and cherish the small blessings that God so graciously bestowed upon our lives. Because I know that he has given me the best friend that any woman could ever ask for, you.“
