How I Met Your Father

Hi, I’m a very cheeky and full of life baby boy name Ben. I was born in June 2018. I spend a lot of my day with my mommy, Irene. And one day, she told me about how she met my daddy, Hendra. Grab your hot cocoa, because this is going to be juicy!

Mom and dad had first met when they attended the orientation at a university in Karawaci. Mom said they had talked to each other before on the phone, but never actually met until the orientation.

To cut a long story short, daddy Hendra had a feeling towards mommy Irene and began making a move. Mommy giggled and reminisced, “Your daddy used to wrote me poems and sing to me when he tried to woe me. He was so romantic!” What woman could resist such romantic gesture? What woman could close her ears to the sweet serenade of a man’s voice? Certainly not my mommy! Mommy fell for him. She fell hard! My daddy did good, didn't he? And that was how my dad woe my mommy.

My mom and dad dated for a while. They were solid. Mommy would cater to daddy’s silly ways. Like that one time when my daddy said, “Let’s just jump over the fence because I’m too lazy to circle back around!” And mommy would mount that fence in a heartbeat! Hmm, maybe this is why I’m so active and adventurous!

On June 15th 2014, daddy got all serious and told mommy, “My parents are going over to your house to formally propose to you.” My daddy is a prank king! And mommy was not going to fall for his trap. So mommy replied, “If this was for real, then you should go to my parents and tell them about the formal proposal yourself, before your parents set date.”

Mommy was shocked! Daddy really did show up and told my grandparents about the formal proposal! Mommy recalled, “Your dad was so nervous! He got all quiet and serious. He could barely talk. And he was all red after he told them about the formal proposal.” She chuckled lovingly. But my dad’s effort paid off! He got the blessings from my grandparents. And the formal proposal was a smooth event.

Finally on September 2nd 2017, after pursuing both of their Masters degree, they made it official. They were finally husband and wife.
