Fairy Godmama
Behind every charming fairy tale, there’s a fairy godmother that looks after the beautiful maiden and see things far beyond our own vision. Vera’s fairy godmother is none other than her own birth mother. The pivotal moment happened eight years ago when Vera’s mom spotted a young Korean lad that caught her attention called Jin Ho. He was kind hearted, responsible and consistent. Vera’s mom loves him very much that she told him to call him Mama. Naturally Mama introduced the two to each other in hopes that she had started something extraordinary.
Their love story took some moments to grow, but destiny cannot be denied. The chemistry between Jin Ho and Vera didn't ignite until five to six years ago when Vera took a business trip to Korea and he introduced her to his family. His sincere love and care for his family nudged her heart. Furthermore, Jin Ho’s adoration for kids puts him in a different light for her. She thought to her self, “Wow! He’s an awesome family man!”
The seed that Mama planted almost a decade ago would finally bear luscious fruits. The trip ended, but their love story finally began. Jin Ho started contacting Vera more often than usual, effortlessly threading affection towards one another. Not only that, Jin Ho also began showing his amazing attention to detail that further made her fall for him. “He’s not the type that would recite poems. But he definitely makes me feel his love through his actions.” For instance, Vera loathes spring onions that cooks often sprinkle on top of a dish as garnish. Knowing this pet peeve of hers, Jin Ho would diligently spend moments to pick out those unappetizing greens off of her plate without her having to ask. “Even though he’s two years my junior, he shows tremendous maturity and thoughtfulness way beyond his years. And I’m grateful for that,” Vera listed all the amazing traits Jin Ho has.
People would often list the main characters of a fairy tale being the chivalrous prince and the stunning princess. But without the presence of one crucial character, the love story might not even exist let alone reach a happy ending. Thank you Mama for envisioning an extraordinary love story from light years ahead. Thank you Jin Ho and Vera for taking the time to get to know each other and letting destiny take over when the time is absolutely right.
