From the very beginning, Michelle has made it clear what and how she wants Eric and her lovebook is going to be like – a coffee-table-book-like with its cover made from genuine leather. Not just any type of leather, but the Hermes Togo Leather type. A classy choice for an elegant lady.
My biggest challenge yet, with the creative freedom given upon me, was to give this book a touch of love without ruining the luxurious genuine leather cover. And after much research, the acrylic paint turned out to be the best choice. So, I decided to go with it. The challenge didn’t end there, though, because with this kind of meticulous work, there is no room for error!
But with much care and effort, with lots of coffee on the side to keep me on my toes, the painting process that took a couple of hours to finish was completed without a hitch.
As challenging as the creation of this lovebook had been, I had so much fun in making Michelle’s wish come true and I cannot wait to see both Eric and Michelle’s happy faces when they finally meet their treasure-map-like lovebook that showcases their beautiful and memorable pre-wedding adventure.
