What do you get when two architects design a Lovebook? Our most unique Lovebook yet. Made out of steel! ⁣

Well… We’ve made Lovebooks out of wood. We’ve made them out of acrylic and leather. Danniel and Edith channel their love for Corten Steel (also known as weathered steel) into their wedding album. They specifically requested rusty steel for the album cover. As for the inside of the album, they requested torn recycled papers with sepia-toned pictures to match the vintage grungy look of the Corten Steel. ⁣

In a wedding, sometimes, things do not always go according to plan. Not completely satisfied with the decor on their wedding day, having the actual decor being completely different than what was discussed, they requested pop-ups in the album. The first one for their pre-wedding; the second one for their wedding stage decor, adding a little oomph. ⁣

The pop-up figures were digitally hand-painted and originally created on a 1:1 scale, which was then resized during the printing process. Each element was cut and pasted onto cards.⁣

The most challenging part of the entire process was actually finding the Corten Steel material itself as it was an uncommon material. Especially for an album. Upon completion, we weighed their Lovebook. A total of 4kg! Our heaviest Lovebook by far. ⁣
